GUIDE
Calculate print percentage and the resulting drawing scale when resizing ISO A0–A4 sheets. The tool is available directly in your browser with no account required.
DETAILS
Each step down in the ISO A paper series reduces linear dimensions to about 70.71%. Moving from A1 to A3 is two steps, so the drawing becomes 50% and a 1:100 scale becomes 1:200.
Print an A1 drawing at 50% to fit A3 proportionally. A 100 mm line becomes 50 mm and an original 1:100 scale becomes 1:200.
Disable fit-to-page scaling. Printer margins may introduce a small size difference, so verify a known dimension after printing.
Two paper-size steps correspond to 200% linear enlargement.
Three reductions multiply the linear factor 0.7071 three times, resulting in about 35.36%.
Convert between drawing length and real-world length at common scales.
Calculate stair count, actual riser height, and approximate run from floor height.
Convert slope percentage, angle, and 1:n gradient formats.
Convert measured drawing area into real square metres, pyeong, and square feet.
Calculate model-space CAD text height from printed text size and drawing scale.
Calculate ramp rise, horizontal run, sloped length, grade, and angle.
