GUIDE

How to use Image EXIF Metadata Remover

Re-encode a photo locally to remove GPS, camera, and capture-date metadata before sharing. The tool is available directly in your browser with no account required.

  1. 1. Enter the required value, text, or file in the tool above.
  2. 2. Adjust any available options and run the tool when needed.
  3. 3. Review the result and copy or download it if the tool provides that option.

DETAILS

Remove EXIF by re-encoding image pixels

The image pixels are drawn to a browser canvas and exported as a new JPG, PNG, or WebP. GPS, camera, and capture-date blocks are not copied.

Example

Create a clean JPG before posting a phone photo publicly.

Good to know

Visible addresses, faces, or other details inside the pixels are not metadata and remain in the image.

Frequently asked questions

Will the image quality stay identical?

JPG and WebP are compressed again, so quality can change. PNG is lossless but may be larger.

Does it support animated GIF?

No. Animation frames are not preserved.
